AIRTEC are proud to introduce the front mount intercooler upgrade for MQB EA888. Designed to fit all models, this freer-flowing intercooler is a direct replacement for the smaller and more restrictive OEM set up.
Featuring a 60mm core design together with high-flow cast end tanks and lower alloy scoop to force air directly to the core, the AIRTEC intercooler offers much greater surface area, efficiency and volume over standard. Despite this improvement, it fits neatly behind the original bumper, requires no trimming or cutting and can be used with the original hoses.
Test results taken @ AMD Rolling road (tested on AIRTEC demo car, fitted with Cobra cat-back exhaust system).
Before the AIRTEC intercooler was fitted the car made only 336.1bhp & 350.9 lbs/ft. After the AIRTEC intercooler was fitted it made a very impressive 371.8 bhp & 352.9 lbs/ft torque.

The VAG 2.0 TFSi Eventuri intake has been developed to provide the most efficient and direct airflow path to the turbo. By replacing the OEM our Patent Pending Venturi housing and coupling this with a smooth duct, we have ensured that the airlfow remains as laminar as possible. Furthermore, the addition of a true cold air feed by adding a scoop to the front grill results in the lowest possible inlet air temperature. The result is an optimised intake system which delivers noticeable performance gains consistently.
The Eventuri Difference
The 2.0 TFSi system uses our Patent Pending Carbon fibre Housing which provides an aerodynamically efficient airflow path from the filter to the turbo tube. Not just another cone filter with a heat shield but a unique design which allows airflow to remain laminar and thus improve the turbo efficiency. The standard airbox is cuboid in shape which gives rise to turbulence and increases the drag on the turbo as a result. Furthermore it draws air from a duct, which despite extending over the entire grill is in fact only open on one side and this opening is also facing the engine so the airbox draws in warm engine bay heat. In addition, when the bonnet is closed, the only direct path for cold air is from the small slots in the top of the grill (for the Golf 7 variants).
The following dyno graphs show the before and after results on a Golf 7 R (same engine as the Audi 8V S3) which already had a remap. So both the stock airbox and the Eventuri were tested with the same remap in place. All tests were carried out back to back on the same day with the BONNET CLOSED ON ALL OCCASIONS.
Eventuri Replacement Filter
We are proud to announce our bespoke filter cones for 2018. This filter is a custom design which was developed to provide optimum airflow through our Eventuri housings where the filter is reverse mounted. It is a direct replacement for all of our intakes which use Eventuri carbon housings and will be fitted to all new intakes from 2018.
Filtration and Construction
Unlike many other intake companies who use a generic filter, we have carried out extensive R&D and invested significant funds into our own unique filter design, so that it is optimised in our Patent Pending reverse mounted configuration. The filtration medium is constructed from non-woven mesh and is ISO 5011 tested which conforms to the same filtration standard as OEM filters. The mesh is double layered and is dry which means that it will not damage MAF sensors with oil. Our filters feature 2 flow directing cones which have been carefully modelled to direct airflow as follows:
Internal Cone – designed to help direct incoming airflow through the filter and to create an even velocity profile across the length of the filtration material. This cone effectively helps airflow disperse across the filter without turbulence.
External Cone – CNC machined, with a very unique profile, which was extensively optimised to help pull the airflow down to the center and transition smoothly into the downstream tubing. This cone creates a controlled region of turbulence around the tip which increases the convergence speed of the air, so that the connecting tubing has a higher velocity profile of airflow leading to the engine
The resulting flow through the filter and also smooth at the exit of the intake, to the connecting tube is smooth with a high velocity profile. In real terms, this means that the engine is able to draw air very efficiently, and the driver will be able to notice a sharper throttle response, as well as the power and torque improvements. Where the engine has a turbo(s) it will be able to achieve peak boost earlier as it will be working with less resistance. Tests have shown that our systems reduce the waste gate duty cycle by a significant percentage over the OEM system.
The following diagrams are CFD simulations showing velocity streamlines through our system – with the new filter and the original filter.
Through Dyno testing the Eventuri intakes back-to-back with the original filters vs the upgraded filters, we have found an additional power and torque gain. This validates our theoretical modelling and proves that the upgraded filters really have a significant impact on the airflow through the intake. The power gains over and above the original filters vary between vehicles, but here are some of the results we have measured so far. Please note – these graphs show the Eventuri intake with original filter vs upgraded filters. Not against the stock airboxes – which will now be an even larger gain!
Aside from the technical improvements, the upgraded filters resemble the engines of an aircraft – resulting in a dynamic overall aesthetic once installed into the carbon housings. From the reverse – looking into the carbon housing – the laser etched outer cap is clearly visible surrounded by the filter mesh. An awe-inspiring sight.

Motul MoCool Radiator Additive
MoCool is a coolant additive that will reduce the cooling system operating temperature by as much as 15 degrees C (30 degrees F).
This performance additive offers better heat transfer than normal coolants. The unique formula also contains rust and corrosion inhibitors.
Designed to be used with a Pure water at a dilution of 5% (20:1) for competition use where monoethyleneglycol is not allowed. The normal water/coolant mix at 5% of volume. It can be used with all aluminium, cast iron, copper, brass and bronze cooling systems.
Motul RBF 600 Racing Brake Fluid
Motul RBF 600 factory line brake fluid is a 100% synthetic brake fluid particularly suitable for the demands of racing and for those who require a high-performance brake fluid. The high-performance DOT 4 brake fluid is particularly suitable for race application and exceeds the DOT 5.1 and DOT 3 standards. The very high dry and wet boiling point of RBF 600 is far better than Dot 5.1 brake fluids and enables effective braking even under extreme conditions. RBF 600 brake fluid is suitable for all types of hydraulic actuated brake and clutch systems requiring a non-silicone fluid.
Dry Boiling Point - 312 degrees Celsius
Wet boiling point - 216 degrees Celsius
Extreme High-Performance polyglycol brake fluid. Far exceeds the standards of DOT 4. Each bottle is filled with Nitrogen, increasing shelf life and eliminating contamination while factory sealed. Extremely high dry boiling point 594°F (312°C) helps prevent vapour lock and brake fade during hard use, with excellent recovery time. Wet boiling point 401°F (205°C).
Motul RBF 660 Racing Brake Fluid
RBF660 is a 100% synthetic racing brake fluid from Motul which meets DOT 4 specifications. It features a very high boiling point which makes it suitable for use in the most extreme racing conditions including heavy and powerful race cars using Carbon or Ceramic brakes.
Boiling point - 325 Deg C (617 Deg F)
High-Performance brake fluid with a very high dry boiling point of 617°F (325°C) and wet boiling point of 400°F (204°C). For all types of hydraulic brake and clutch actuators requiring non-silicone synthetic fluid. Specially designed to resist extreme high temperature generated by racing brakes (carbon and ceramic) only allowing a minimal air entrance for brake cooling.
