The most important thing in sports driving is to maintain performance while driving without putting a strain on the car, and the most important point is engine cooling.
The K20C, which is equipped with a turbocharger, generates a lot of heat from the engine, so the water temperature rises quickly, making it difficult to run continuous laps around the circuit.
Replacing the thermostat or lowering the operating temperature of the cooling fan can slow down the rise in water temperature, but replacing the radiator is necessary to maintain the optimal temperature.
With an eye on use in racing, we put a prototype with a core thickness of 42 mm into the Thunderhill 25 Hours race and confirmed sufficient effectiveness.
After that, we also tested it in a street car, and since the air conditioner condenser covers the front of the radiator, it is difficult for the wind to hit the radiator, and we realized that the same cooling performance as a race car is necessary for the street, so we set the same product as the race car.
