RTS’S HD pressure has been developed using a unique clamp load design to maintain the OE stock pedal feel but also be capable of holding more power than the OE clutch.
The aramid friction exhibits 50% less wear than a conventional drive plate friction material. This material also reduces the effects of fade. Fade is the decline in the clutch system’s ability to transmit torque as operating temperatures increases. These features in combination with the previously mentioned micro-structure of spheroidal casting and ER2 technology allows the clutch kit to dissipate heat far more effectively, allowing the clutch to run cooler for longer.
RTS kit has been designed with a higher clamp load enabling the clutch system to transmit 60% more torque over the standard clutch kit and is suitable for every day driving, fast road and track/circuit racing whilst maintaining user-friendly driving experience.
RTS Paddle kit has been designed with a higher clamp load allowing the clutch to hold a lot more power and still be drivable on the road.
HD (Organic):
This uses reinforced Organic Friction material on both sides of the clutch plate, this follows the OEM setup for the clutch however it will hold up to stage 1 vehicles while also maintaining complete OE pedal setup.
Twin Friction:
RTS unique “Twin Friction” (drive plate) has been developed using a unique flywheel side friction material whilst adopting a segmented pressure plate face. The aramid friction exhibits 50% less wear than a conventional drive plate friction material.
This material also reduces the effects of fade. Fade is the decline in the clutch system’s ability to transmit torque as operating temperatures increases. Paddle:
Due to its inherent design, engines are subject to rotating fluctuations. To minimise/prevent this, the NVH is absorbed by RTS unique clutch damper – function which suppresses the movement of the free, spinning gears and vibration transmitted to the transmission.
Paddle will hold more power as it has a ceramic pad material on both sides. This is more suited towards high power builds and non-daily / occasional track use. These performance clutches will have a heavier feel to it.
