Bad news: it's true. Honda intentionally makes their rubber shifter cable bushings very compliant in an effort to give the car a more tame feel. For many drivers, that's ideal. Unfortunately, this disconnects the driver from feeling the transmission during shifts, often leading to missed shifts or slow shifting in racing conditions. A less compliant plastic or metal bushing is the ideal solution, but without a spherical bearing, the bushing will cause the cables to bind and fatigue. That's why ACUITY has designed this kit with a custom acetal and aluminium spherical bushing. Also unlike most bushings on the market, ACUITY's design incorporates elastomer rings to provide the best fit possible with your cables. Understanding the Science of that Perfect Shift Feel:

Years of experience have taught the engineers at ACUITY that there are many elements to a refined, responsive shift. Compliance from flimsy components in the shift linkage leaves the driver feeling detached from the transmission. ACUITY combats this by replacing the OEM rubber bushings with much stiffer Acetal and 6061-T6 Aluminum. A large-diameter, custom spherical bearing minimizes long-term wear and tear while eliminating the binding that is caused by most aftermarket solid shifter cable bushings. Loose fitting components also contribute to a poor shifting feel. That's why ACUITY uses integral o-rings on the outside of each bushing to provide a perfect fit with your OEM cables. Tested on street cars, track cars, and ACUITY's unreasonably violent shifter testing machine, these bushings are designed to be robust and proven to last. Each bushing kit is laser etched with a unique serial number and includes stainless steel hardware to help prevent long-term corrosion, keeping your bushings looking great even longer. And if all of that isn't impressive enough, the bushings are over 20% lighter than their OEM counterparts, weighing in at only 48 grams (with hardware).

Introducing our classic and very functional shift boot collar design. Gone are the days of sagging shift boots, broken plastic shift boot collars, and shift boot collars that don't match the diameter or style of your shift knob. ACUITY designed this Shift Boot Collar Upgrade to allow the use of virtually any M10x1.5 shift knob in your Honda without sacrificing fit and finish between the shift boot and shift knob. This kit includes 2 binding nuts, one meant for flat-bottomed knobs, and the other meant for boss-bottomed knobs (like modern Civic Type R and Honda Factory Performance designs). The boot collar is reversible and can be flipped to match your knob's base diameter, whether it be a traditional narrow-bottomed knob or the newer style wide-bottomed knobs. An integral retaining feature lets you easily pop the boot collar on and off many times without problems, so you no longer have to worry about breaking the OEM plastic boot ring when removing your shift knob. The supplied binding nuts are turned and milled from stainless steel and have flats for a 12mm open-ended wrench.

On some shift boots, the supplied zip ties may not reach around the whole boot. Avoid using a larger cable tie as it will not fit into the groove on the boot collar as well. Instead, use 2 of the supplied cable ties attached together to reach around the whole shift boot. The supplied cable ties are quite narrow and are selected to fit into the boot collar. If you need more cable ties, similar cable ties can be purchased (normally in black though) from most hardware stores near you.

Anyone that has taken a 9th or 10th Gen Civic to the track can tell you that the default pedal positions make using a heel-toe technique incredibly difficult, if not impossible. The solution? Move the throttle pedal toward the driver, better aligning the brake and accelerator pedals. The ACUITY Throttle Pedal Spacer (or more technically, Accelerator Pedal Relocation Bracket), helps resolve this problem by providing three unique new positions for your accelerator pedal. In addition to moving the pedal toward the driver, the ACUITY Throttle Pedal Spacer allows you to move the pedals closer together, laterally, to aid drivers with narrow feet.

The ACUITY Throttle Pedal Spacer allows the driver to select one of 3 possible non-stock pedal locations. Each location provides a slightly different driving feel. We recommend trying them all to find what suits you best. Below is a brief description of each position.

• Position A moves the throttle pedal closest to the driver.
• Position B is slightly further from the driver than Position A and slightly closer to the brake pedal, laterally.
• Position C is furthest from the driver (still much closer than stock) and also moves the accelerator pedal closer to the brake pedal, laterally, like Position B.

The ESCO-T6 is the rebirth of ACUiTY's popular ESCO shape in 6061-T6 aluminium. The ESCO design is quickly becoming the preferred drivers' knob due to its carefully-crafted profile. With a 40mm barrel-shaped upper portion, gently domed top, and a tapered bottom, the ESCO-T6 fits beautifully in most drivers' hands. While spherical knobs have become popular, the truth is they allow a lot of grip variation when changing gears. By forcing a more consistent hand position through its unique shape, the ESCO-T6 helps to train muscle memory, making shifts more consistent.

The ESCO-T6 weighs in at approximately 185 grams. The mid-weight is meant to provide enough mass to provide a good shift feel without masking feedback from the gearbox. To complement the ergonomic shape, each knob is anodized in a durable satin purple anodized finish and laser engraved with the 6-Speed Honda/Acura gear pattern. Important Note About Shift Boot Fitment:

On many Hondas and Acuras made after 2010, the shift boot clips to the underside of the shift knob. Older vehicles had a shift boot that just sat near the underside of the knob but did not mate to it. If your shift boot clips to the underside of your shift knob, you should check to see if it clips to a nut or to the knob itself. If the boot clips to a nut, your boot and nut should work with your new Esco knob as well. If the boot clips to the actual OEM shift knob, however, you will need additional parts to prevent the boot from sagging after installation. We currently provide 3 shift boot collars that can correct this issue. The part #'s are 1924-K1 (satin black anodized finish), 1924-K2 (turned stainless steel finish), 1924-K3 (burnt titanium finish).

Similarly, if you have an older vehicle that doesn't have a shift boot that clips to the knob, you can also use the same shift boot collars (1924-K1, 1924-K2, and 1924-K3) to clip the boot to the knob for a more modern, clean, finished appearance.

Easily the most capable shifter available for the 10th Gen Civic, the beauty of the ACUITY Fully Adjustable Performance Shifter is due in part to the careful attention to detail and rigorous testing that went into its nearly 2-year design process. Gear throw and gate spacing are independently adjustable and allow for mild to rather extreme reductions compared to stock. Using these adjustments, it's quite easy to tune the H-pattern spacing of your shifter to your exact liking. To permit the most personalized shift, the knob is both height and position adjustable, with laser markings indicating safe adjustment ranges. The shifter's frame is built from a careful combination of aluminium and stainless steel, to improve the frame's stiffness while being mindful of weight. A large-diameter, aluminium pivot ball in a wear-compensating, spherical race provides smooth shifting with minimal friction and great long-term resistance to play. Centring is quick, decisive and consistent, compliments of a thick, over-wound centring spring and re-engineered spring perches. The spherical joint in the rocker has been heavily upgraded over the OEM design to allow for wear-compensation, to avoid the play that typically develops in the OEM shifter. To aid in installation, this shifter is equipped with unique base bushings that feature an O-ring fastening design that allows them to stay affixed to the shifter.

A Simple Mod You'll Enjoy on Every Drive:

This spring was designed to improve the centring action of your 10th Gen's stock shifter. If you've ever found the centring action of your shifter to leave you wanting a sportier feel, the solution is finally here. With a notably increased preload and nearly identical rate, the ACUITY Performance Shifter Centering Spring increases the centring load in neutral without significantly increasing the force required to locate the far gates (e.g. 1/2 and R). The end result is a sportier shifting feel without an increase in driver fatigue or a reduction in drivability. This spring is designed to provide a 100% increase in spring force on the Sport model and a 20% increase in spring force on the Si and CTR. This translates to about a 50% increase in centring force at the knob in the Sport model and about a 10% increase at the knob in the Si and CTR. In addition to the Performance Shifter Centering Spring, each kit is supplied with a small packet of premium silicone grease to re-lubricate the shifter with after removing the OEM spring.

In recent years, countersunk knobs have become a popular way to achieve shorter shift throws and reduced knob height without modifying the shifter itself. A core problem with most countersunk knobs is that they don't fit well to the shift boot, leaving the shift boot to sag and the shift lever exposed. ACUiTY's POCO knob is the answer with its low height and built-in shift boot collar, the combination of which permits a very low shift knob height combined with a clean fitting shift boot

What to Expect

The POCO sits low, much lower than most stock and aftermarket knobs. Most knobs sit around 25mm (1 inch) or higher above the top of the actual shift lever. The POCO sits only 3-4mm taller than the top of the shift lever when mounted. The POCO's low profile means shifts will feel shorter and firmer with throws typically 5%-10% shorter than compared to non-countersunk knobs. The POCO is one of the most well-integrated countersunk knobs available with its built-in shift boot collar that easily clips into the knob for that perfect finished appearance.

How it Works

The POCO's boot collar is affixed to the shift boot using a low-profile cable tie (3 are supplied with each kit); the knob threads down on the shift lever until it stops. Once both parts are installed, the shift boot collar clips into the shift knob and installation is complete.

Each POCO is turned from 6061-T6 aluminum and receives a tasteful, satin anodized finish. An internal elastomer ring provides the locking feature, just like our very popular 1924 shift boot collars. All lettering is laser-etched for durability.

Narrower Gates, Less Play, Stiffer Feel:

Refining your Civic's shifting system is a great way to add a sporty feel that will put a smile on your face every time you go for a drive. The ACUITY Shifter Rocker Upgrade for the 10th Gen Honda Civic can be appreciated as much during street driving as at the track. Altered geometry reduces the mechanical advantage of the rocker to provide narrower, stiffer gates. Much like how a short throw adapter reduces the distance in the forward and reverse direction while changing gears, this Shifter Rocker Upgrade reduces the distance in the left and right direction while changing gears (such as 2 to 3, 4 to 5, etc). The OEM plastic has been replaced with billet 6061-T6 aluminium construction. This makes for a much stiffer part, meaning less flex when shifting forcefully and better feedback from the transmission during shifts. Additionally, ACUITY's unique joint designs at the main pivot and spherical joint incorporate low-friction, self-lubricating bushings that are designed to reduce friction in the shifter while naturally eliminating any gaps between parts in the joint. This allows the joint to wear-compensate over time, meaning the rocker will age gracefully and provide many years of use, abuse, and happy shifting. Class 10.9 steel hardware and an aluminium bushing replace the factory snap-in feature, further reducing free play. 

On the Civic Si and Sport models, this Shifter Rocker Upgrade will reduce gate spacing by approximately 11% and will stiffen the lateral action of the shifter. Additionally, stiffness in the left/right motion will increase, feeling more rigid, and free play in the left/right direction will be reduced.

On the Civic Type R, this Shifter Rocker Upgrade will reduce gate spacing by approximately 5% and will stiffen the lateral action of the shifter. Additionally, stiffness in the left/right motion will increase, feeling more rigid, and free play in the left/right direction will be reduced.

WHAT'S IN THE BOX

Shorter Throw, Less Play, Stiffer Feel:

Refining your Civic's shifting system is a great way to add a sporty feel that will put a smile on your face every time you go for a drive. The ACUITY Short Throw Adapter for the 10th Gen Honda Civic can be appreciated as much during street driving as at the track. The Short Throw Adapter reduces the mechanical advantage of the shifter to provide shorter, stiffer gear throws. The extender is turned and milled from 300 series stainless steel, making it strong and extremely corrosion resistant. Acuity's unique clamping design ensures the extender will stay fastened, even with a modest amount of torque. 

By reducing the throw at the shifter, you are effectively reducing the play in the shifter cables by the same amount you are reducing throw. When the throw is reduced at the transmission, the play from the cables remains the same while the throw is reduced. This was the primary motivation for Acuity's choice to make a short throw adapter that fits to the shifter.

TECH SPECS

• On the Civic Sport models, this Short Throw Adapter will reduce gear throw by approximately 26% from stock. Effectively, the OEM Sport Throw is 35% longer than it will be after installing the Acuity Short Throw Adapter.

• On the Civic Si, this Short Throw Adapter will reduce gear throw by approximately 24% from stock. Effectively, the OEM Si Throw is 32% longer than it will be after installing the Acuity Short Throw Adapter.

 WHAT'S IN THE BOX

• Each kit includes an alcohol wipe and grease packet so the spherical joint can be cleaned and re-greased before installation.

• 2017+ Honda Civic (All 6MT, except Civic Type R FK2/FK8)
• 2017+ Honda Civic Si (FC1/FC3)

This Short Throw Adapter is not recommended for use with the Civic Type R FK2/FK8 shifter due to excessive shifter cable angle when used together.

Shifter-mounted short throw adapters, regardless of brand, tend to cause the shifter to make a slight "click" noise when engaging even gears and reverse. There is a simple, cost-effective solution to this that involves drilling of the stock plastic shifter and installation of two zip ties. The video detailing the source of the noise and the solution is below. Skipping this step will not cause problems other than a possible audible click during shifts into even gears. This solution will also work with any other brand of short shifter for the 10th Civic that mounts to the shifter itself.
