The AEM Water/Methanol 5 Gallon Tank can be used with nearly any water-methanol kit using SAE 1/4" OD hose for extended range or as an upgrade to competitor systems that supply tanks less than 5 gallons. The tank includes a high-tech conductive low fluid level indicator with a positive lock connector and colour matched wires to the wiring harness. Comprehensive hardware for mounting is included. AEM’s X-Series Wideband UEGO Air/Fuel Ratio Sensor Controller Gauges are built upon unique, patented 100% Digital technology (Patent 9,575,030) that makes them the fastest responding wideband air/fuel ratio controllers in independent testing*.
The X-Series Wideband UEGO AFR Sensor Controller Gauge (PN 30-0300) measures 2 1/16th-inch (52mm) in diameter and features a modern, visually striking faceplate and new seven-segment centre display that is 87% larger than the 30-4110 AEM Wideband Gauge’s centre display. This creates the perception of a larger overall gauge, but in a common 52mm size for easy mounting. Its slim depth (less than one inch overall) and ultra-slim cup depth of .200-inches dramatically increases its application base and potential mounting locations.
The X-Series Wideband UEGO AFR Gauge has a user configurable display via buttons on the gauge face that allows you to change AFR values for different fuels, Lambda or O2%, change the centre display to three or four digits, perform a free-air calibration if desired as the sensor ages, and change the CAN message ID when linking multiple X-Series Inline Controllers or X-Series Controller Gauges. A black bezel and black dual-faced faceplate for air/fuel and Lambda are included, and an optional silver bezel with white dual-faced air/fuel and Lambda faceplate is available (PN 30-0300-ACC, sold separately). An Auto Dimming feature is included. Locking connectors ensure a positive connection between the harnesses and gauge and a new single board design adds to the new gauge’s durability.
The gauge includes a 0-5v and RS232 Serial Port output for feedback control and data logging, and an AEMnet (CANbus) output for data logging. AEMnet allows additional X-Series Wideband Controllers to be daisy-chained together (up to 16 cylinders) for recording AFR in multiple cylinders. It supports vehicle/system voltages up to 16V and can be used on EFI or carbureted applications, and dynamometers in applications using gasoline, methanol, ethanol, Diesel, propane, and CNG.
X-DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY X-Digital wideband technology gives these controllers the ability to read and report values that other controllers do not, which can deliver more optimized engine tuning and a safer overall operating condition. The controller’s high-speed digital implementation ensures no loss of signal fidelity and full transient response, making it able to identify the slightest fluctuations in AFR and output them in full value.
WHY RESPONSE TIME MATTERS Faster response time improves wideband feedback control and can provide a safer, more powerful and accurate tune. AEM’s Wideband Controllers with X-Digital technology can reduce dead time and improve the performance of your vehicle through more accurate AFR tuning. Deadtime is the delay between when exhaust gas composition changes and when that change is reported by the O2 sensor. While the flow of exhaust gases (transport delay) can affect deadtime, it is not the only source. Often, the sensing elements response to the gas is the largest contributor to deadtime when an engine is in high RPM under load.
When tuning an engine using wideband AFR feedback control on an inertia dyno, deadtime affects the data you are looking at because it is reported in a different operating location than when it actually occurred.This means with long deadtimes, whatever changes you make to the base fueling will likely be in the wrong location.This can be particularly dangerous to high compression and high-boost forced induction vehicles, and EFI systems that use feedback control to auto-tune.

The X-Series Wideband Gauge and X-Series Inline Controller support the popular Bosch 4.9LSU sensor and can utilize both the factory calibration resistor and free-air calibration methods**. This allows users to take advantage of the precise factory resistor calibration when a sensor is new but then allows for free-air calibrations if the user desires when the sensor ages. It’s the perfect marriage of simplicity and accuracy!

WHY USE A WIDEBAND AIR/FUEL CONTROLLER? Accurate AFR data is critical when tuning an engine. Running rich (very low air/fuel ratio, excessive fuel) can cause a loss in power, while running too lean (very high air/fuel ratio, not enough fuel) may result in serious engine damage. CAN I CHANGE THE AEM UEGO SENSOR’S CONNECTOR? No. There is a laser-etched, calibrated resistor in the sensor’s connector body. This resistor is specifically created for the exact sensor that it is attached to. Modifying this will invalidate the sensor’s output.

Reduces Air Inlet Charge Temps The term “liquid intercooling” with water/methanol injection refers to a highly atomized mist of water/methanol that is injected into the airstream and begins to evaporate. As it does, this evaporative effect reduces air charge temps by as much as 100 degrees and delivers a more oxygen-rich air charge.
Reduces Detonation (Knock) Water absorbs heat, and methanol is a cool burning, anti-knock rated fuel. When combined and introduced into the inlet stream, they can effectively increase your vehicle’s anti-knock index so you can reliably increase boost pressure and advance ignition timing using pump gas.
Reduces Carbon Deposits Modern vehicles fitted with Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) devices for emissions control promote heavy carbon build up inside the air intake. This carbon build-up can create ‘hot spots’ in the combustion chambers that can cause detonation. Water/methanol injection has a ‘steam cleaning’ effect that reduces this carbon build up, and in some cases can increase fuel economy.
Robust, Easy to Use Controller Designs The new controller design Boost Dependent Kit features large, turn-resistant knobs and larger numbering to easily set accurate start and full activation points, with covered status LED and test buttons for added splash resistance. A plug is integrated into the controller housing for mating to the redesigned wiring harness’s positive-lock connector. The Boost Dependent controller housing has a moulded-in, barbed nipple to accept a boost hose and a wiring legend on the back. Both controller housings feature an easy to access integrated fuse and moulded mounting tabs.
Simplified Wiring AEM’s Water/Methanol Injection kit’s wiring harness is terminated with a positive-lock connector on one end and has colour-coded wires to ease installation. Both the power and ground wires for the pump are included in the harness which simplifies the wiring process and eliminates any chance of the pump accidentally activating from a short in the system. An additional wire is included for adding an optional on/off solenoid to stop fluid flow when the system is inactive.
Integrated Boost Safe Feature The controllers in AEM’s Water Methanol systems include an integrated “Boost Safe” output feature that monitors the entire injection system and triggers a ground signal via an output if it detects a voltage-related error (short, bad connection, broken wire, overheated pump, high or low voltage signal, etc.), allowing users to define their failsafe strategy from something as simple as flashing a warning light to more advanced strategies like pulling boost or ignition, or switching fuel maps on a standalone engine management system. Combined with the integral and highly accurate conductive low-fluid switch in the tank, “Boost Safe” can also put your engine in safe mode before the system runs dry. This exclusive feature is found only on AEM Water/Methanol Injection Systems.
Heavy-Duty High-Pressure Injection Pump AEM’s internally-bypassed water/methanol injection pump does not cycle on and off and provides quiet, smooth operation. It features robust construction including integral hose fittings, EPDM seals and a Santoprene diaphragm that provides consistent and reliable fluid delivery.
Low-Profile 1.15 Gallon Tank AEM’s gas Water/Methanol Injection Systems include a compact 1.15 gallon tank that features an anti-starvation reservoir. A more accurate, conductive low-level fluid sensor is integrated into the tank and features a positive lock connector with colour-matched wires to the wiring harness. The sensor eliminates any chance of incorrect readings due to interference from debris.
Machined Billet Injectors and Nozzles AEM includes one precision-machined billet injector in its gasoline Water/Methanol Injection kit. Important Safety Notice Regarding Methanol
AEM strongly recommends that users never exceed a 50% methanol concentration when using any AEM Water/Methanol system or component. All AEM Water/Methanol injection systems and components (pump, lines, fittings, filter, flow sensor, tank, and nozzles) are 100% chemically compatible with methanol. However, for safety reasons, AEM strongly recommends that users never use more than a 50% methanol concentration in any AEM system or component.
Methanol is a toxic and highly flammable chemical. 100% Methanol ignites easily and burns vigorously with an almost undetectable flame. Methanol can be absorbed through the skin and even small amounts can cause blindness or even death. Using this fluid at high pressures, without dilution, in an under-hood environment with nylon lines and push-to-connect fittings is very unsafe. The performance advantages of using greater than 50% methanol concentrations are small if they exist at all. However, the safety issues are very real and far outweigh any perceived benefit of running high concentrations of methanol.

AEM Electronics Water/Methanol Injection Filter
AEM’s Water/Methanol Injection Filter can filter particulates as small as 40 microns. It protects the working parts of the water/methanol system and the engine from particulates in the water/methanol mixture when installed in-line before the water/methanol pump, and can be used on virtually any water/methanol injection system using SAE 1/4" OD tubing.
AEM Water Methanol Injection Kit - V3
The AEM Water/Methanol Injection System is suitable for both turbo and supercharged vehicles. The advantages of this kit are it allows you to increase boost pressure and advance timing without having to run higher octane fuel, these kits are also effective for reducing engine inlet air temperatures and suppressing harmful detonation. Using this water/methanol kit can increase power by up to 20%.
This water/methanol controller is designed for petrol vehicles only with a maximum boost of 35psi, and comes with an on board MAP sensor with a molded in nipple for a boost hose pickup. The kit is also supplied with a fluid level sensor so it can detect if the fluid in the system is getting low or has an error.
The V3 250cc injector included in the kit has been designed using unique swirl generator technology which improves atomisation and delivers similar cooling capacity as a much larger injector but with reduced fluid use. With the V3 nozzle 1 gallon of fluid will give over 13 minutes run time at full pressure.

AEM Water/Methanol Solenoid is a 2-way, normally closed 12V valve with stainless steel body for use with AEM Water/Methanol Injection Systems. The shut-off valve provides an accurate and consistent shut off and prevents siphoning under vacuum.
Stainless steel Water/Methanol Injection Solenoid (PN 30-3326) eliminates any chance of water/methanol flow into the inlet when the WMI system is not engaged. This affordable water/methanol injection accessory features high flow capability (3,600cc/min) and an impressively low current draw of only 0.75A that does not require the use of an additional relay.
The valve body features include 1/8” NPT ports with included push-to-lock ¼” hose fittings for easy connection and EPDM seals that stand up to corrosion for years of reliable use. It’s an inexpensive insurance policy to protect your high performance engine regardless of the brand of water/methanol injection system you are using!

The on-demand progressive Multi-Input Controller in AEM’s #30-3350 Water/Methanol Injection kit for petrol & diesel vehicles features a multiple input design that enables users to install AEM’s Water/Methanol Injection Kit on both high compression naturally aspirated vehicles (NA) via the MAF/IDC settings and ultra-high boost vehicles (above 35 PSI) using an external MAP sensor. The Multi-Input Controller works with an external 0-5V voltage-based external MAP sensor, a frequency based input for Injector Duty Cycle (IDC), frequency-based mass airflow (MAF), or a 0-5V voltage-based MAF.
