HKS | Suspension Error Canceller II | Honda Civic Type R | FK8 2.0T K20C1 | 2017-2022

The HKS Suspension Error Canceller II is a device that cancels out the variable damper system error that appears once you install aftermarket suspension. Installation is easy and requires no tampering with existing wiring, just play in the supplied installation harness for SEC II Type H.

BEFORE INSTALLATION: An error message is shown on the display when removing the factory variable damper.

AFTER INSTALLATION: The SEC II Type H eliminates the error message.

PLEASE NOTE that the error in the variable damper system control unit is not eliminated. You may also experience that fault diagnostic devices may not be usable while the SEC II Type H is installed.

INSTALLATION PROCESS

1) The variable damper system control unit is behind the interior of the back seat on the left side, as seen in the image below.

2) Remove the connector. Install the provided harness between the unit and the vehicle harness.

3) Fix the SEC II Type H harness with the provided double-sided tape and the cable tie.
