SPOON SPORTS is proud to release a CRANE NECK WING (CARBON) for the 11th generation Civic Type R (FL5)

Aerodynamics is one of the most important themes in today’s tuning.
A car already armed with exceptional performance, we set our goal in developing a rear wing the Civic Type R that can provide a wide range of setting options and even be effective in motorsports competition.

Applying CFD mechanics from the initial design, the product underwent wind tunnel testing to obtain proof of performance.

After making numerous desktop considerations in terms of size, structure, and wing angles, we produced several prototypes. The prototypes were placed in a wind tunnel testing facility to take drag and downforce measurements.

The prototypes that were observed to be effective in the wind tunnel were taken and installed in a car for real-world testing on track. The design was only finalized after rigorous comparison.

Implementing CFD to the initial design, desktop testing on various aspects, proto-typing, and wind tunnel testing. The product underwent numerous stages of development, finally being tested on track for lap times and feedback from our drivers. We are confident that our development process for this product was efficient and effective.

The new SPOONSPORTS CRANE NECK WING (CARBON) provides optimum downforce with minimal drag to the Civic Type R, allowing a wide range of set ups for various driving stages.
