Dream Weekly Refresh: Sunday 3rd March '24

PBS (Performance Braking Solutions) brake pads are made by racing drivers for racing drivers, working at high temperatures with excellent pedal feel, consistent braking with low dust, and great rotor life. These are by far the best bang for buck pads on the market giving great consistency, longevity, and bite at both hot and cold temperatures.

Their front pads offerings for the FK2, FK8 and FL5 are available in 3 increasing levels of intensity, allowing you to choose the perfect pad for your use.

ProTrack - The ProTrack compound is also ceramic metallic material that has milder initial bite than the ProRace compound with excellent control and feels with powerful stopping power of 0.40 to 0.48mu this compound is designed for light occasional track use or wet conditions and for race series that have to use a low grip tyre with less noise and dust. (Working temp 0-700c)

ProRace - The ProRace compound is a ceramic graphite material that has great initial bite, excellent control, and feel with a powerful stopping power of 0.36 to 0.58mu this compound is used in many race series with great results including race wins and overall championships it is also the compound of choice for many track day users. (Working temp 0-800c)

Used Parts - FK8 Type R

This week we launched a new section of the website containing used parts! We'll be constantly adding to this section of the site from now on, as we have quite a few spare parts laying around!

Whether it's a hardly used part left over from testing, a race worn body panel or anything in-between, there's a chance we've got it!

At the moment we've been listing race worn body panels from our ex-Honda UK Endurance racecar. Some of the body panels have seen extreme race use and would make incredible display pieces however many other parts are only very lightly used, making either a great replacement panel for track days or for cleaning up and using on your car daily. Head over and take a look 🙌

We saw many cars in and out of our workshop this week, some having high end parts fitted and others coming in for a day on the dyno with Romain from Racecal! Here's a quick insight into just some of the work...

J's Racing Front Splitter

If you're a long term follower of us, you'll definitely recognise this particular FK8. It's one of the UK's best examples with no detail missed out, even the air-con pipes have been polished to a mirror finish!

Adam (@greypearl_fk) was back this week to have a J's Racing Front Splitter fitted - the transformation is next level. Head over to our Instagram page to see it for yourself.

Dyno Day

We had February's second dyno day this week with x2 FK8's up on the dyno as well as carrying out some super secret testing on an exciting new product. More info coming soon!

The first FK8 has recently been in with us for a range of modifications and required recalibration before getting back out on track soon! The second FK8 (pictured) has recently been upgraded by us with a HKS Legamax Exhaust and Dream Intercooler.
