Welcome back to another Dream Weekly Refresh - we're coming to the end of July already but things here at Dream are not slowing down! We've had some bigger jobs in the workshop this week, meaning we don't have quite as much to update you on however we have had a huge wave of exciting new products hit the website for you to gawk at... let's take a look!

Rays 57NR Build-Up!
We kicked the week off by building up this set of Rays GramLights 57NR's with Nankang AR-1 semi-slick tyres, ready to be shipped out to a customer!
This wheel is reminiscent of the incredible Rays VolkRacing CE28 but comes in at a much lower price point while still following Rays' industry leading manufacturing processes. Although this wheel isn't quite as light, it is still very strong and perfect for those who use their on the road and the track. Click the link below to shop now!

Freshly Imported R33 Skyline!
A bit of a different car found it's way into our workshop this week - a freshly imported Nissan Skyline (R33) in the iconic midnight purple. This car is owned by our good friends at Evolve Automotive/Eventuri and was delivered to them earlier this week after being imported by JM Imports in Newcastle!
The car came in for a simple air-con regas so that the car can be enjoyed throughout the rest of the summer!

Many drivers may not be aware of the significant slack present in their vehicle's factory subframe, which arises because OEM engineers often need to balance performance with factors like comfort, cost, or ease of assembly. For instance, the subframe mounting holes in the 10th Gen Civic are 2mm larger than the bolts, allowing for shifts, vibrations, and rattles during intense cornering or braking. This can reduce steering sharpness and responsiveness. BC Racing Coilovers (True Rear Coilover, BR Series RH Type) - FK8
The BR series coilovers use a large 46mm diameter piston in a 53mm diameter damper body to maximise oil capacity. As the damper unit operates the oil contained within heats up. The viscosity of oil changes as its temperature varies which can lead to changes in the damping characteristics of the unit.
BC Racing only use a very high quality oil with their coilovers but go that extra mile to maximise performance and build their BR range with a large 53mm diameter damper body. This increases the capacity of the unit which increases the volume of oil contained which in turn reduces the peak temperature and so significantly improves damper performance.
BC Racing recommend this kit for the best balance of performance and comfort, designed by the factory to have the best overall compromise of spring rate, ride height range, top mount design and damping rate to suit the majority of car owners.
It is more than capable of dealing with fast road and track work but also retains a high degree ride civility so the car can still be used for mundane duties and long journeys without the ride becoming tiring.
