Dream Weekly Refresh: Sunday 19th May '24
Welcome back to another instalment of Dream Weekly Refresh - we're mixing it up this weekend to bring you an insight into our busy weekend last week! In case you missed last weeks Weekly Refresh, we let you know we'd be attending 2 shows over the weekend; GassedOnTrack at Silverstone on Saturday and National FK8 UK Owners Event at the British Motor Museum on Sunday!
The weather was incredible for both events, leaving some of the team a bit red, and as usual we had a blast showing off our demo vehicles on and off of the track as well as seeing some familiar faces and meeting new ones!
Before we get too stuck into that, let's have a quick look over what products have recently been added to our website.

GruppeM Carbon Fibre Intake - FL5 Type R
Experience the pinnacle of engineering with the meticulously crafted high-capacity GruppeM RAM AIR SYSTEM, featuring a distinctive conical air filter that optimizes every inch of your engine bay. Designed to draw in the maximum volume of ambient air while maintaining filtration reliability. The exclusive handcrafted carbon fibre filter prevents heated air from entering the intake stream ultimately leading to lowered intake air temperatures (IAT).
To further enhance performance and increase horsepower across the entire RPM range, GruppeM have ingeniously placed a specially designed air guide within the front grille, streamlining the flow of fresh air. The outcome is unparalleled. Installing the system is a breeze, with a simple bolt-on process that guarantees a flawless fit and finish. Read more on our website...

Rays Gramlight 57NR - FK2/FK8/FL5
The 57NR uses a traditional 10 spokes design of RAYS, has excellent stress dispersion and firmly receives information from the road surface. A new "C-FORM" design is provided between the spokes to increase rigidity, this allows the spokes to maintain a perfect circle even when strong forces are applied. In addition, the strength of the inner rim has been dramatically improved by "H.S.PLUS" (High Strength Technology) newly developed by RAYS. This wheel maximizes the power of the machine and the grip of the tire to obtain powerful traction.
The 57NR is designed to be the "strongest" wheel in the R series, with flawless design and performance.

Lets switch it up a bit - we're going for a weekend refresh, showing you some of what we got up to over the previous weekend at 2 awesome shows!
GassedOnTrack - Saturday 11th May
We took to Silverstone National Circuit with both our FL5 Type R and our FK8 widebody racecar to attend GassedOnTrack - an event hosted by Jamie Sonuga (aka Officially Gassed) a UK automotive/performance vehicle YouTuber who has built up a fleet of his own crazy specification vehicles, including a ~1000hp DC5 Integra which has been calibrated on Syvecs by our own Romain Levesque from Racecal!
The event was incredible, a mashup of the UK's best track cars and show cars mixed with hypercar, F1 and drift demonstrations made for an action packed day - the weather didn't disappoint either making the day that bit better.
Our FL5 performed excellently out on track, the HEL Oil Cooler kept temperatures noticeably lower despite the hot ambient air temperature! Our FK8 racecar was sat sunbathing all day on display with our good friends at Thermomet. It drew in plenty of attention as usual and it was great to see people loving the ultra aggressive aero. We're thoroughly looking forward to next years event!

National FK8 UK Owners Event - Sunday 12th May
Sunday was another early start for us, we had the racecar loaded back up, our FL5 Type R ready to go as well as another new addition to the fleet alongside us - a Rallye Red FK. We set off early and managed to be some of the first to arrive at the British Motor Museum which was great as we got to see the car park fill up as convoys of FK8's from all over the country arrived.
We invited some of our customers to join us on our display, as you can see in the photos below!

Used APR Performance Splitter Fitting
Our used parts section on the website has been incredibly popular since we launched it at the start of this year - this customer managed to pick up an APR Performance Carbon Fibre Splitter at a hugely reduced price as it was slightly used! As you can see from the images, it fitted up and looks as good as a brand new part.
As with all products from APR Performance, functionality comes first, this splitter is no different! It's significantly improves aerodynamics by creating a high-pressure area on top of the wind splitter, meaning high-pressure air flow is restricted to flow underneath a car. With low pressure below the car, the effect of lift is vastly reduced and the driver benefits from extra traction and control.

High-End JDM Upgrades!
We rounded this week off with a visit from this crystal black pearl FK8 Type R which has already seen some quite serious parts fitted to it - the owner claims to have the only genuine Mugen carbon fibre spoiler in the UK!
The parts we were tasked with fitting are of the highest calibre too - we installed a HKS intercooler alongside an Endless Big Brake Kit!
If you know your Japanese brands, you'll know that both of those parts are something to shout about - Endless in particular offer some of the worlds best braking products. This specific kit is made for motorsport application, but of course will work very well for fast road and track use. The brake pads are some of the chunkiest we've seen! Head over to our social media to see more images of these parts.
