The foundation of SPOON's balanced total setup is first creating the ideal body.
The new Civic features a newly developed, high-rigidity platform with an inner frame, ensuring sufficient body rigidity. However, further improving the fastening strength between the body and subframe delivers even higher levels of driving performance.

Rigid collars are used for the subframe's fastening bolt holes, and rigid plates are used to integrate the body, subframe, and lower arm mounting points, allowing the car's inherent body rigidity to be fully utilized, resulting in direct, stable handling and full suspension work. Increasing

body rigidity does not result in a stiff ride; rather, it maximizes the suspension's inherent movement, resulting in a supple, high-quality ride.

The material used is JSC780 ultra-high-tensile steel, typically used for the body frame, and is formed using an 800-ton hydraulic press. The three plates are spot-welded and finished with a cathodic paint finish similar to the factory finish.
