The Coldforge CF-3 S01 Carbon Fibre Track Brake Pad represents a world's-first innovation from Tribol Braking, engineered and manufactured in the UK for unparalleled motorsport braking performance. Designed specifically for Honda Civic Type R 2015- brake calipers, the CF-3 S01 combines a slotted semi-metallic race-focused pad compound with Tribol's patent-protected forged carbon fibre composite backplate technology to significantly reduce heat transfer to caliper components and lower overall caliper temperatures by up to 70°C under demanding race conditions. Up to 70% lighter than conventional steel-backed brake pads, the CF-3 S01 helps maintain consistent braking performance during repeated hard use while reducing thermal stress throughout the braking system. Pre-scorched and supplied with stainless steel shims, these brake pads are ready for use straight out of the box and are manufactured exclusively for track and motorsport applications.

After five years of development alongside leading academics, brake pad manufacturers, professional drivers, and performance OEMs, Tribol Braking has launched the world's first fully composite brake pad. For its initial release, the CF-3 range is available in three key pad shapes commonly found throughout motorsport applications. Tribol's track-focused testing programme simulates repeated heavy braking at disc temperatures exceeding 600°C, revealing how these brake pads perform when it matters most. The CF-3 range delivers strong cold bite, stable friction characteristics, eliminates brake pad lift and brake fade. Most importantly, they provide the consistency and confidence drivers need when every tenth of a second counts.

  • Carbon fibre composite backing plates.At the core of the CF-3 S01 is Tribol's patent-protected carbon fibre composite backplate technology. Built around advanced high-temperature resin systems derived from ablative heat-shield materials originally developed for space vehicle re-entry, it acts as an effective thermal barrier between the brake disc and caliper, helping to reduce heat transfer into the hydraulic system during repeated heavy braking.

  • Lowering brake caliper temperatures, when it matters most.Coldforge Carbon Fibre Composite Technology has demonstrated caliper temperature reductions of up to 70°C during testing and is continuously proven in the highest levels of motorsport. By keeping more heat out of the caliper, it helps reduce the risk of brake fluid boil, excessive pedal travel, and inconsistent braking performance as temperatures rise.

  • Up to 70% lighter than steel-backed pads.The CF-3 range is 70% lighter than standard steel-backed brake pads, reducing unsprung mass directly at the wheel. By removing weight from one of the most critical areas of the vehicle, it helps deliver sharper braking response and removes weight where it has the greatest effect on the vehicles behaviour.

  • Semi-metallic slotted race pad compound.Tribol Braking CF-3 brake pads use a semi-metallic slotted pad compound developed specifically for track and motorsport applications. Designed to provide strong initial bite, stable friction and predictable modulation under repeated high-load braking, they deliver confident stopping power when drivers and race teams are pushing limits.

  • Pre-scorched and track-ready. Every set of Tribol Braking brake pads are supplied pre-scorched and ready for immediate use. For most track-day applications, only one or two gentle installation laps are required to establish full pad-to-disc contact before normal use. For maximum performance in competitive or extreme conditions, Tribol Braking recommends following their official bedding procedure before subjecting the pads to sustained high loads
